About Us

Afro Asia Institute for Strategic Studies was established in 2023 and is focused on stimulating scholarly research and intellectual debate that serve to challenge Western “mainstream” narratives on the Global South. A PanAfricanist platform that promotes African research & amplifies African perspectives on strategic issues relevant to African development. We seek to build partnerships with governments and institutions that are aligned with the vision for a polycentric/multipolar world in which all countries, regardless of size, are able to progress in accordance with their population’s development objectives and aspirations. The essence of our work aims to build a body of knowledge by tapping into local contexts and histories of decolonization and national liberation struggles, and linking this with international friends and movements that share a vision for the political, economic, and social emancipation of humanity. We aim to amplify voices that are anti-imperialist and anti-colonial and seek to positively contribute to the struggle against Western hegemony.

We, at Afro-Asia Institute for Strategic Studies, envision a united, self-reliant, and empowered Africa that pioneers a new global discourse on sustainable political, economic, and social development.
